Be Naturally & Steve Songhurst invite you to join us for our

Mindfulness in Nature
- followed with Bat Watching -

Lodge Rd, Maidstone ME14 5PT

Friday 12th August 2022 - 7.00pm to 10.00pm

In celebration of the partnership between Be Naturally and Steve Songhurst - Reserve Warden and resident bat expert at Vinters - we are delighted to be running this special event for the 2nd consecutive year.

The evening will begin with a guided mindful nature connection, savouring the beautiful private space within the Reserve ... with all of your senses. We will welcome the arrival of sunset/dusk with some fresh tea and homemade treats, before moving to the peaceful lake area to be guided in watching, listening and spending time with the resident bats.

Bats are awesome!  Did you know that bats are more agile in flight than most birds?  They are the only mammals that fly - and they do this with their very long, spread-out digits.  And did you know that baby bats are called 'pups' - don't we all love a pup?

These fuzzy flyers can each consume more than 1200 mosquito sized insects per hour, usually eating 6000-8000 bugs each night!

Take this unique opportunity and join us to watch these fascinating creatures for yourself ... and even get to hear their squeaks and squawks using the bat monitors (provided) that capture their calls.  This experience follows a peaceful and calming mindful connection, so that all of your senses are open and alive when spending time with the bats.

The cost of this special experience is only £20.00 - bookings will contribute to supporting Vinters Valley Nature Reserve.
